Susan Pennington Stewart fell in love with fabric and sewing before she started elementary school! Heirloom sewing by machine techniques are her specialty. She designed, stitched, and wrote for Sew Beautiful magazine for many years, and has taught around the country. She has recently taken on the exciting task of translating her heirloom techniques into quilting. In this site you will find children’s garment patterns and unique quilts incorporating those techniques, some of the fabrics and laces suited to these designs, and available classes.
As a result of personal experience, Susan has also become interested in providing patterns and supplies for sewing comfort nightwear, using special moisture-wicking fabrics, to help women who are dealing with night sweats due to menopause or chemotherapy.
